What are Business Taxes

Annual Income Taxes/Information Returns

All businesses except partnerships must file an annual income tax return. Partnerships file an information return. Which form you use depends on how your business is organized. See Table 2 to find out which return you have to file.

Form 1040, Schedule C-EZ       Net Profit From Business
Form 1040, Schedule C              Profit or Loss From Business
Form 1040, Schedule F               Profit or Loss From Farming
Form 1120                                     U.S. Corporation Income Tax Return
Form 1120S                                  U.S. Income Tax Return for a S Corporation
Form 1065                                     U.S. Partnership Return
