A message to America's Business Owners from the Internal Revenue Service's Small Business/Self-Employed Division and the Small Business Administration:

The IRS, in conjunction with the Small Business Administration and other federal agencies, developed this fourth edition of "The Small Business Resource Guide" so that businesses can have a wealth of information readily available.

Whether you are considering starting a business, developing new ideas for a current business, or need information on filing tax returns, "The Business Resource Guide"can help. Additions this year include a section on the Welfare-to-Work Credit, and valuable information concerning the IRS Disaster Relief Efforts.

Since this product is intended for wide use in the business community, we welcome your ideas, and encourage you to utilize the Feedback Section. This product is just one example of how the emphasis on modernization and customer service can be combined to serve America's taxpayers. I wish there had been a resource like the CD-ROM in this package. Now there is.

Here are all the business tax forms, instructions, and publications you need to start and maintain an efficient and compliant small business. There are also valuable business topics such as preparing your business plan, financing, how to price your products and the best ways to market them.
