              Economic Statistics
It may be important for you to be aware of the latest economic
trends and outlooks. There are several government sites that provide
                general economic data. The Bureau
of Economic Analysis has national, international, and
                regional economic information. The U.S.
Census Bureau has population and demographic information,
while the Bureau of Labor Statistics has information on employment
                trends and outlooks.

The website of the Foreign
Trade Division of the U.S. Census Bureau is a good source
of information on the U.S. trade balance, import and export totals,
general commodity groupings, and country totals.
The Department of Commerce's Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA)
delivers together a monthly publication, Survey of Current Business,
that contains articles, economic analyses and economic statistics
on the U.S. economy and U.S. international transactions. In addition,
the publication contains state, sector, income and product figures,
charts and tables. It is available from the Government
Printing Office or at (202) 512-1800. Much of the BEA's information
is also available for free on-line.
