Demorris Andy Hunter is wanted for his alleged involvement in the murder of two women. On March 29, 2002, Hunter is alleged to have shot to death a woman in Oakland, California, after the two had an altercation. Hunter then fled to Orlando, Florida where, on May 26, 2002, he is alleged to have strangled a woman to death and left her body in the trunk of a car. Local arrest warrants were issued for Hunter in both Oakland, California and Orlando, Florida, charging him with murder. A federal arrest warrant charging Hunter with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued by the United States District Court, Northern District of California, Oakland, California, on June 4, 2002.
